Choice of Profession and Academic Satisfaction in Undergraduate Economics Students

The paper presents the results of an empirical study aimed at identifying students' choice of profession and satisfaction with the quality of training at the university. The study revealed the motivation of students to enter economic specialties, their assessment of the quality of theoretical, practical and socio-psychological training, views on job prospects, students' opinions on the importance for employers of various aspects of the quality for training and personal characteristics of graduates. It was found that most students do not appreciate the level of their practical training and take into account the prospects for further employment in their specialty upon admission.
