摘要
This paper engages in the study on the seismic response of undamaged and damaged reinforced concrete braced frame with special-shaped columns. A 15-storey K-braced model frame with T-shaped, L-shaped, and +-shaped columns is designed and tested on the shake table. Different earthquake waves with various peak acceleration and principal-secondary sequence are input and examined. Based on the test phenomena and comprehensive theoretical analysis. some conclusions are made as follows. The failure sequence of the model is from the brace to the beam and then to the column so that several defense lines of the design philosophy can be accomplished. Different earthquake waves not only influence the magnitude and distribution of the earthquake force; but also affect the magnitude of the displacement response significantly. The seismic response of the earthquake damaged reinforced concrete braced frame with special-shaped columns possesses the characteristic of equivalent elastic in the phase of aftershock. In general terms of failure feature and drift value of the tested frame, this kind of reinforced concrete structure is excellent for earthquake resistance.
