摘要
In this paper a physical basis for the variation in loss coefficients is developed. The standard three-term core loss separation model is assumed under sinusoidal (alternating) excitation. Some important material and operational properties that are often neglected in the literature when developing core loss models are highlighted. The paper shows how the hysteresis loss coefficient must vary with frequency and how the excess loss coefficient is a function of frequency and flux density. The study of the behavior of the loss coefficients leads to a proposal of a new way for separating and predicting lamination core losses, leading to a completely new way to quantify excess loss.
