摘要
Field trials were conducted in 1994 and 1995 to compare spray drift produced by two spraying techniques. A hydraulic boom sprayer providing both air-assisted and conventional spraying was used for two reduced-volume applications. For each treatment, 14 trials were conducted over short grass under wind conditions varying from 1 to 5 mis, measured 2 m above the ground. Drift was measured on a 8 m tower, 10 m away from the boom sprayer. Results showed that air-assisted spraying combined with use of coarser spray provided significantly less drift under wind conditions of 5 m/s compared to conventional spraying under a wind of 1 m/s.
