摘要
Purpose - To describe a means of discouraging unsolicited e-mails or "spam". Design/methodology/approach - The scheme makes it difficult for web-scanning techniques to identify and collect e-mail addresses from web sites. Findings - The scheme appears to work and has an unexpected extra benefit. Practical implications - It is hoped this will mitigate the menace of spam. Originality/value - The method is thought to be novel.
