A. V. Shavlov focuses on the ball-lightning model based on two-temperature plasma. An unlimited decrease in the BL volume under the action of compressing electric forces is hampered by the rise of the BL internal pressure. The mechanism of the ion confinement, which is considered by us, seems to be a form of correlation effects stipulated by the correlation of the plasma-particle spatial location. The fully ionized plasma having parameters that correspond to the confinement region can be compressed under the action of electric forces. Indeed, the plasma state in the vicinity of the lower boundary of the confinement region is characterized by a number of electron-ion pairs in one oscillator that is close to unity. Thus, the BL two-temperature plasma model under discussion has allowed us to numerically estimate basic plasma parameters.
