摘要
The mold filling process during injection molding is of fundamental importance to achieving good product quality. Presently mold filling is achieved with limited information of the melt front position. either inferred from screw position or cavity pressure/temperature sensors. As injection molding machine control and sensor technology continue to improve. the significance of raw material variation and rheological nature have become a more obvious processing and quality limiting factor. In spite of all the recent Improvements to machine design. the final performance is still determined by how efficiently the polymer melt front flows into the cavity, which is in turn controlled by the machine parameter set-up and controller performance.
