Research on the Industrial Association from Modern Logistics Industry: A Case of Henan Province of China

As a pillar industry, modern logistics industry is an important component of modern service industries in many countries and regions; but it is difficult to quantify the contribution of the logistics industry, according to current division of the national economy. Therefore, the author puts forward that try to put logistics industry alone from the national economy, as a fourth category of the national economy. Then the authors calculate out each department's direct consumption coefficient table, Leontief inverse matrix, direct forward correlation exponent and direct backward correlation exponent; and establish the initial analytical framework of the industrial association from modern logistics industry. Synchronously, applying the analytical framework, we integrate the input-output tables of 144 departments in 2007 of Henan Province; analysis the correlation between the logistics industry and other industries in Henan Province in a full range. Study shows that: from the point of socio-economic, the classification of four departments in national economy is certainly scientific; the analytical framework of the industrial association from modern logistics industry that based on four departments can better reveal the modern logistics industry's role in the national economy.
