摘要：
Globalization has made a progress in everyday life and education has not been an exception. It not only made a progress, but also created new technologies and novel opportunities. The purpose of this study is twofold: First, it depicts those new discoveries and breakthroughs in the education in general and language teaching in particular, then, it attempts to show the use of online and distance learning in language teaching. The online and distance learning is compared with the traditional ones to show its advantages. Finally, strategies and techniques to do it are presented.
