Quantum fluctuations in a system of exciton polaritons in a semiconductor microcavity

摘要
This paper analyzes how quantum fluctuations affect the properties of exciton polaritons in a sample located in a planar semiconductor microcavity. The analysis takes into account the nonlinear interaction between the excitons, even in the presence of a thermal reservoir. Exact solutions are obtained for the generalized Glauber P function in the adiabatic limit. Giant exciton bunching is predicted. It is found that the presence of quantum noise destabilizes a homogeneous solution that belongs to the lower bistability branch. (C) 2017 Optical Society of America
