TEACHING INNOVATION PROJECT AT UNIVERSITY

The establishment of the European Convergence Plan on higher education involves the assessment of the quality evaluation of their programs and the teaching staff level are some of the most important elements to ensure universities capacity to reach the compromises with society. In order to ensure the teachers professional competence and educational programs quality has been created Teaching Performance Assessment Programs and teachers have the possibility to participate in Teaching Innovation Project, an excellent tool to clarify main objectives and improve the teaching. The aim is not to transform the classical education but it is a way to develop a more complete and modern way of teaching. The first step to elaborate an innovation teaching project is to evaluate the deficiencies and necessities of our teaching plan, this information will be useful to make clear and realistic objectives. In this way, there are aspects such us competences, contents and methodology to be ranged when developing the project. It is not necessary to change the subject radically, innovations projects can be useful tools for the teacher to emphasize those concepts that are really valuable and help students put their knowledge in perspective. To achieve this goal we must make an effort to find what the motivations of the students are and use different strategies to keep students motivated with new ways of teaching and offering them the possibility to participate in a more actively way in the teaching-learning process. This kind of experiences usually involve the use of Innovation and Communication Technologies, that help us to be close to the student and to allow them to be more in contact with the subject and to feel more integrated in the learning-teaching process. There are multiple options to take into account; teacher can offer students the possibility to make problems, tests or even games that allow them to carry out this objective.
