Corporate governance of listed companies in China: Appraisal index and empirical analysis

The practice of corporate governance has made the appraisal of corporate governance a focus of corporate governance research. Accordingly, this paper aims at setting up a appraisal system of corporate governance and developing an index model based on the function of corporate governance and governance environment of Chinese listed companies. Empirical analysis has been made in this paper of the data of Chinese listed companies and the result shows that high-quality corporate governance will not only be beneficial to financial safety, but also be useful for listed companies' expanding of capital stock capability and enhancing of company' profit capability.
