摘要
Antireflection coatings are done on silicon solar cells to enhance the efficiency, TiOX coatings are generally done by sputtering or: evaporation. We have done TiOX antireflection coatings by spin coating using isopropyl titanate as organometallic precursor. The films have been deposited by spin coating of isopropyl titanate diluted in isopropyl alcohol. Multilayer coatings have been done at room temperature followed by drying st about 100 degrees C. ARC coatings have been done on both single crystalline and polycrystalline solar cells. The short circuit current and the efficiency of the cells increased by about 30% as a result of TiOX antireflection coating. Hardly any change is observed in V-proportional to. The increase in cell efficiency is more for polycrystalline compared to single crystalline cells. The reflectance and refractive index measurements of the films have also been carried out.
