摘要：
How can a child be prevented from spiraling into the wild extremes of her poet father? Lord Byron's wife found the solution: her daughter Ada would learn the rigors of mathematics. Wasted effort! After applying her talents to Charles Babbage's machine, Ada launched into a theory of the nervous system, using the only laboratory at her disposal: her own body.
