摘要：
The simple electronic photocell has matured into a multifunction integrated circuit that now includes: monlithic amplifiers, arrays of cells with programmable sensitivity (the electronic iris), an incident light frequency controlled oscillator (the optical VCO) and rows of cells for edge detection. The details of some of this new generation of optical detectors are described here. They offer an easier route to application for designers.
