Contribution to the signal processing of ultrasonic pulses

摘要
The paper deals with the signal processing of ultrasonic pulses in absorptive and dispersive solids. The linear theory based on the Fourier transform is applied to the study of ultrasonic wave propagation in the polymeric film strip. The spurious echoes stemming from wave reflection at the borders of the specimen can destroy part of the pulse. Two methods of analysis of partly destroyed signals are presented and compared using mathematical modelling of the ultrasonic pulse propagation in the material.
