摘要
An overview of the possibilities for sustainable clean production of sugar from cane. The paper presents methods and technologies to increase energy efficiency thus reducing costs, as well as processes allowing compliance with international regulations. Current pollution emission can be reduced using existing technologies, and appreciable amounts of electricity can be generated from the industry, thus helping it regain economic strength.
