摘要
The incentive to increase the economic efficiency of domestic agricultural producers in spite of commodity markets development is also stressed with the current status of EU Common Agricultural policy (CAP). Nevertheless, the sustainable development of European agricultural businesses is dependent on encouragements, which are provided both via CAP and at respective national levels. The economic size of farm may play a crucial role in aforementioned areas, mainly because of factors of production utilization efficiency. This paper provides the explorative study of selected factors of production development after the Czech Republic's entering the EU and tries to provide the evidence in this area regarding the economic size of business. Family farms are researched specifically, mainly because of the unpaid work inputs. There is also complementarily provided the framework overview at the CAP instruments for economic performance encouragement of small farmers. This article is using secondary economic data of Farm Accountancy Data Network that collects structural and accountancy data of farms, based on system of sample surveys conducted annually in the Czech Republic and other EU member countries as well.
