Landslide risk - Systematic approaches to assessment and management

Landslide risk can be systematically assessed and managed. This is possible in the context of the traditional mapping framework or using decision analysis. Both approaches are described but with emphasis on the decision analytical procedure. Specific aspects of the latter such as the assessment of probability to slow events, use of subjective and objective probabilities, updating, and different approaches to damage assessment are discussed in more detail.
