摘要
Time-frequency and time-scale mapping are important for diagnostic vibration analysis. This paper reviews the short-time Fourier transform and Wister-Ville methods of frequency analysis and compares these with the wavelet method. New details of the theory of harmonic wavelets are described and provide the basis for computational algorithms designed to compute high-definition time-frequency maps.
