Towards Testing Considerations Of Experimental Decision Support System Design

A decision support system (DSS) is a tool intended to help and support the human in any complex activity that requires a decision-making process. Such tool frees the human user from complex technical implementations details, allowing them to have a full focus on the fundamental judgements. Used in activity areas that affect the population's wellbeing, like energy supply or medical healthcare, its miscellaneous malfunction is threatening life safety. Nonetheless, DSS is a tool to help the user, not to replace it, therefore experts' involvement with a sound knowledge, in the specific domain, are more that desirable. The objective of current work is to identify which are the most important features to consider when testing a DSS web application, mainly by experimenting the design of a DSS, considering existing support and frameworks.
