摘要
In this write-up, a compact ultra wideband (UWB) antenna system loaded with C-type split ring resonator (SRR) having controlled bandwidth and center frequency is designed and realized. The UWB and notching characteristics of the antenna are achieved by introducing C-type SRR structure in the design. The proposed antenna is designed on GML 1000 substrate (tan delta = 0.004, epsilon(r) = 3.2) with overall size of 19 x 29 x 0.508 mm(3). The antenna under investigation is fed by using 50 Omega micro strip feed line. The proposed antenna is operational in whole ultra wide band (3.1 11 GHz) with stop band at (5.725 - 5.825 GHz), thus rejecting WLAN band signals. After testing the antenna system has shown, the measured and simulated results are in good accordance with each other. Furthermore, because of compact size the antenna can be easily integrated in UWB portable devices.
