摘要
The demand for print heads with a wide range of jet viscosity and high jet frequency became evident with the development of micro-drop inkjet technology. In this paper, a new high-frequency and high-viscosity piezo-electric drop-on-demand (DOD) print head structure was proposed and manufactured. Furthermore, its reliability was confirmed via hydrodynamic and thermodynamic simulation analyses. The print head jetting performance was tested through the print head jetting performance test platform, and the effects of various waveform driving parameters on the performance were observed. The influences of dwell time, voltage amplitude, and drive fre-quency were considered. The results have shown that the print head jetting viscosity ranges up to 8.2 cps at room temperature, with the highest value being 98.17 cps obtained after regulating the solution viscosity and the temperature field. Moreover, the stable ejection droplet driving frequency was up to 15 kHz, confirming the good jetting stability.
