摘要
There are a great deal of complicated, various information in the construction project lifecycle. However, it is to restrict increasing the management level and management efficiency in a large extent by the reason of information loss, obstructed/untimely information sharing and the widespread phenomenon of the information island. The successful implementation of engineering construction depends largely on the efficiency and effectiveness of the information exchange among the participants. This paper firstly describes the basic concepts, technical characteristics and its application status of building information modeling (BIM). Then it analyses the existence of its many defects in the traditional project management information system, and points out that the traditional PMIS is increasingly unable to meet the needs of modern project management. So this paper proposes the framework of project management information system based on BIM, gives the system functions of the framework, points out the implementation ideas of these functions, and establishes a certain basis for the further implementation of system functions.
