摘要
The purpose of the work is to conclude the biography and research of the scien-tific heritage of Rymma Semenivna Kharabadot, a researcher of the Rumeiku lan-guage, a local historian and a collector of folklore of the Greeks of the Ukrainian Azov Sea region. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the biography of Rymma Harabadot, an analytical review of her scientific works, characteristics of local lore, the composition of the personal archive in the context of Hellenistic and Anthropo-logical Studies, in particular in terms of depicting the state of Modern Greek Ru-meiku dialects and preserving national identity, are presented. Methodology. The work uses special methods of archival studies, biography, systematization, dating and description of documents. Conclusions. Rymma Harabadot was born on June 8, 1927 in the Rumeiku village of Velyka Karakuba. The family suffered from the first wave of repressions and was settled first in Tbilisi, where Rymma graduated from high school and then in Lviv, where she continued her studies. She graduated from Lviv Ivan Franko University, with a degree in classical philology, in 1955. She devoted most of her activity to the library sciences, worked for many years at the Vasyl Stefanyk Lviv Scientific Library. She was an author-compiler of descriptions of Greek and Latin old prints, a number of articles on the history of the Greeks in Lviv. She participated in dialectological expeditions to the Rumeiku villages of Azov Sea region, where she collected significant materials of Rumeiku folk narratives. The main purpose of her life was in the compilation of the dictionaries of Rumeku language. She prepared and published a dictionary of the Karakuba dialect of Ru-meiku language. She participated in a joint project for the preparation of Rumeiku-Russian and Russian-Rumeiku dictionary. In every way she contributed to the spread of Greek culture in Ukraine, the preservation of Rumeiku national identity. She died on November 20, 2017 in Lviv.
