摘要：
Eco-environmental water demands are defined for the northwest regions in China and its minimum levels are analyzed. The utilization limits for sustainable use of water resources through human activity are determined on the basis of satisfying eco-environmental needs first. This study is of great importance for the water resources explorations eco-environment protection and sustainable development of society for the northwest regions of China.
