Finite-amplitude acoustic waves in materials with hysteresis in stress-strain relation

摘要
Elastic waves in an unbounded medium and a ring resonator are analysed for a material with hysteresis in the stress-strain relation. Two models of nonlinearity are considered to result in qualitatively different wave behavior. For waves in a resonator, the amplitude of steady-state oscillations and the resonance line width are determined.
