摘要
This paper explores some of the techniques available to the structural engineer for the work of conservation of historic buildings. The emphasis of the paper is that intervention should be kept to an absolute minimum to ensure structural integrity. In order to achieve this, various non-destructive testing techniques are considered as well as the encouragement to conduct a thorough search of archives and other available records.
