摘要
The kinetics of oxidation of malonic acid by manganese (III)-pyrophosphate complex has been studied in acid perclorate medium. The oxidation product of the organic acid has been found to be formic acid. A probable reaction mechanism suggested for the reaction accounts for the experimental observations.
