摘要
The aim of this work was to prepare silk fibroin (SF) membranes incorporated with cationic and anionic dyes, in order to analyze the behavior of SF matrix loaded with charged compounds. For that, the combinatorial effect of pH and ionic strength on the release kinetics was assessed, showing that cationic dye has poor interaction with SF and high release rate, whereas anionic dye presented strong hydrophobic interactions with SF, being retained within the matrix. These results help elucidate the behavior of SF in the presence of charged dyes, which can be outspread for the release of charged drugs.
