摘要
Honey contains bee-specific DNA that is accumulated while the bees process the nectar in the hive. It is possible to isolate this DNA from the honey and to analyse it for specific sequences. By the help of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) a honey sample can be characterised towards its zoological origin, i.e. for example determination of the presence or absence of DNA of Asian bee species.
