摘要
Thermal properties of glasses in the system SiO2-Li2O-Fe2O3 were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry as a function of chemical composition. The glass transition temperature is around 450 degrees C and decreases with Li2O but increases with Fe2O3. Near 600 degrees C, all glasses crystallized completely to Li2SiO3, Li2Si2O5, LiFeSi2O6 and amorphous SiO2, in ratios depending on the chemical composition of the original glass. The crystallization peak moves to lower temperatures with Li2O and to higher temperatures with Fe2O3, and the peak height decreases with Fe2O3.
