摘要：
We present the methods developed by the Padova group to simulate colour-magnitude diagrams and reconstruct the star formation history of composite stellar systems. The methods are applied to the LMC data set made available by T. Smecker-Hane and coll. for the Coimbra experiment. The star formation history of this portion of the LMC is derived using two different chemical enrichment laws. The dependence of the results on the input parameters is briefly discussed.
