摘要：
This manuscript addresses the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis, use of nasal provocation as a method to assess inflammatory mediators and the role of cytokines, and topical glucocorticosteroids. Immunologic changes of allergen immunotherapy, pharmacotherapy with a focus on non-sedating, and topical antihistamines are discussed. The antiinflammatory potential of fexofenadine, azelastine, and newer therapeutic modalities with anti-IgE are addressed.
