摘要
In the field of Fuel Cells, the development of efficient and low cost electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is of great importance. MXenes-based nanomaterials such as transition metal carbides, carbonitrides, and nitrides are expected to have excellent ORR performance. The diverse physical and chemical characteristics of these nanomaterials, having intimate association with their vast variety of elementary composition and surface functionalities, are of considerable importance. Herein, we covered the most recent advancements on MXenebased nanomaterials, highlighting their synthesis strategies, electronic and structural properties along with electrocatalytic performance towards ORR. Moreover, problems associated and potential aspects of MXene based nanomaterials as electrocatalysts are also discussed.
