摘要
Introduction: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection in urinary tract due to the proliferation of a bacteria. The risk factors of UTI are morphological changes in pregnancy, including in preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a disorder characterized with an increase in blood pressure and the presence of protein in urine. This research aimed to determine the groups of preeclampsia patients with or without UTI, and to identify of bacterial type in urine of preeclampsia patients with UTI. Method: This research consists of two phases: first, culture of urine on Blood Agar Media from 20 urine samples of preeclampsia aged 32-42 weeks to determine preeclampsia patients with or without UTI. The second phase was identifying the bacterial type with IMVIC test method. Result: Result showed from 20 samples, 13 urine samples of preeclampsia with UTI positive and 7 samples with UTI negative. From 13 samples obtained 5 bacteria of positive and negative Gram i.e., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus sp1, Staphylococcus sp2 and Proteus mirabilis.
