As part of its effort to bolster Public support for the courts, the American Judicature Society's State Court Resources Committee has commissioned articles describing locally based court-community cooperative efforts. The first article, describing New York's court watching program, appeared in the March-April 1997 issue. This article describes the role of volunteers in New Jersey's child placement review process. Articles about cooperative programs also appear on the AJS web site (www.ajs.org).
