摘要
In this paper, a Fractional-Order Fuzzy PID (FOFPID) controller is designed for and applied to the Egyptian Power System Load Frequency Control (ELFC) to achieve superior performance without steady-state error in the system frequency. The hybrid linear FOFPID controller is made by grouping the Proportional-Integral (PI) and Proportional-Derivative (PD) parts of the PID with the Fuzzy Inference Engine. Furthermore, the P, I and D elements of the hybrid linear fuzzy PID are replaced by newly designed proportional-P, fractional-I and fractional-D elements and optimized using Genetic Algorithm (GA) based on a preselected performance index. To demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the FOFPID controller, a comparative study is carried using a conventional (integer-order) PID tuned with a Bacterial Foraging Algorithm (BFA), and a Fractional-Order PID tuned with GA (FOPID). The designed controllers were used to drive the ELFC system. The performed simulations show excellent results that encourage further investigations.
