摘要
Excess molar volumes V-m(E) for (3-methyl-2-Oxazolidinone + an alkan-1-ol from methanol to octan-1-ol) were obtained from density measurements over the entire composition range at 298.15 K, 313.15 K, and 328.15 K. The excess molar volumes for the binary mixtures studied at each temperature are negative over the whole mole-fraction range, except for (3-methyl-2-oxazolidinone + heptan-1-ol or octan-1-ol), which exhibits slightly positive values of V-m(E) in the alcohol-rich region and slightly negative values in the 3-methyl-2-oxazolidinone-rich region. With increasing alkyl-chain length of the alkan-1-ol, the minimum value of V-m(E) decreases in magnitude and its location shifts to higher mole fraction of 3-methyl-2-oxazolidinone. Partial molar excess volumes, (V-m(E))(1) and (V-m(E))(2), for components were also evaluated. Volumetric properties were discussed from intermolecular interactions between like molecules or unlike molecules. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
