Effect of epirubicin on H-3-thymidine labelling index in cultured L-strain cells

The effect of epirubicin (EPI) on H-3-thymidine labelling index (H-3-TdR LI) of L-strain cells in culture was investigated in our study. EPI concentrations of 0.001 mu g/ml, 0.01 mu g/ml and 0.1 mu g/ml were applied to the cells for a period of time of 4, 8, 16 and 32 hours, followed by a continuous labelling proccess in H-3-TdR medium, which does not contain drug, for 0 to 30 hours. The results obtained show that EPI diminishes labelling index of L-strain cells, depending on time and applied concentrations.
