Luminescent haloes (LH) have been discovered which reflect outcrops of photoluminescent minerals around ore bodies. LPI arose from hydrothermal-metasomatic processes, which formed ore bodies and altered host rocks in exocontact zones. Glow centers in alteration minerals were formed during the processes of accumulation of Mn, REE, U, and other elements. Calcite, apatite, zircon, fluorite and other minerals can serve as indicators of mineral deposits.
