摘要
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to measure the impact of the confinement imposed after the COVID-19 pandemic associated with fasting during Ramadan on the level of physical activity of Algerian athletes. METHODS: Revealed higher scores for individual sport athletes and professional athletes compared to amateurs were considered. Elite athletes, including professionals and individual women, managed their training at home under the guidance of a coach with the addition of an online application for internationals. RESULTS: One third (33.96%) of athletes work at half of what they did before, while women and paradoxically internationals work more at much lower training loads. The majority of athletes (63.01%) work on running and strength-building exercises. CONCLUSIONS: The results obtained differ according to the nature of the sport discipline, the gender and the level of sport practice. Specialists and officials are questioned on the issue within the framework of a consensus for a better resumption of training and especially competitions.
