摘要
The paper aims to investigate the existing relevant literature review of Information Systems (IS) in the field of Internet Banking (IB) adoption. In order to report an understanding of the pattern of the current and existed theoretical-based researches in IB, the four adoption theories utilized in these studies are reviewed with more concern given to IB adoption in different contexts and with different approaches. The findings obtained from this study indicate that there is a large body of literature on IB adoption. Most IB research investigated the acceptance of IB using the psychological approach with some using social or a combined approach. The research recommends a few new approaches to investigate the adoption as well as develop new theory. Among others, User's Informational-Based Readiness is a new approach that this study recommends for future research of innovation adoption. This study makes a unique contribution to the body of knowledge, which is, fill a gap in the body of literature and encourage researchers to shift to a new approach such as user's readiness. This is believed will assist researchers to further understand innovation acceptance and develop a new thinking of theoretical and conceptual frameworks in future research in the field of information systems.
