摘要
Simple grinding experiments were carried out on ferrous and non-ferrous materials, which suggest that the high shear strains can give rise to burr formation. In this study, bun was observed in interrupted cut grinding, namely, roil-over bun formed on workpiece materials at the end of the grinding pass due to high shear strains generated. Deburring techniques on the roll-over bun on commercial machining taps were also studied.
