Personal experience of gender reassignment

This article is simply a personal reflection of a particularly interesting period in the author's life, including the transition from male to female with the help of medical support and intervention. It does not include results of studies or investigations and contains no key conclusions. illustrative figures, or tabular data. The only references are the author's memory, a personal journal and a personal diary of the immediate pre-and post-operative phases. The article summarizes those events that led to the serious decision to seek medical support and surgical intervention, how these were accomplished, and what life was like afterwards.
