摘要
The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of magnetism with gravity on propagation of Surface waves. Geometry of the problem is consists of a liquid layer lying over a gravitational, magnetoelastic orthotropic half-space. Frequency equation for Rayleigh wave has been obtained. Some existing results have been deduced as particular case of the present study. Obtained results have been shown through numerical illustrations. It is found that the considered parameters (earth magnetism, density and gravity) have prominent effect on phase velocity of Rayleigh wave. Graphical representation has been made to exhibit the velocity profile of Rayleigh waves for different cases. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
