摘要：
A four-element hollow Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) array is presented. The radiators i.e. the RDRA blocks are made up of high relative-permittivity (dielectric constant =30) ceramic and are excited by novel microstrip-line fed apertures on the ground plane. The antenna array has an impedance bandwidth of 16.9% and covers the ISM bandwidth. The gain of the array is moderately high at 5.5 to 6.8 dBi within the entire band. Since the radiators are hollow, in spite of using high permittivity material, the bandwidth is quite high and can also be used for encasing a variety of active and passive components thus aiding in overall design compactness.
