DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF PROTOTYPE CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES

摘要
The objective of this study is to detailedly investigate the dynamic characteristics of prototype cable-stayed bridges. An OECS model and a MECS model of the Kao Ping Hsi Bridge in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, are developed to simulate its dynamic properties. On the basis of a computation procedure, initial shape and modal analyses are conducted to compare the OECS model with the MECS model. The results indicate that the OECS model provides higher efficiency, whereas the MECS model is a tool with greater accuracy.
