摘要
The effect of nitrogen addition in a Fe-15Mn-7Si-9Cr-5Ni (wt.%) has been studied in terms of microstructural change and shape recovery, The microstructural evaluation shows that it is possible to stabilize the austenite phase by replacing the Ni with N either fully or partially. The best shape recovery is obtained when the alloys contain 500 ppm of N along with 3% Ni. The alloy in which Ni was completely replaced by N does not show good shape memory property.
