Use of herbicides to control blackberry (Rubus frutieosus)

摘要
Growth of forest plantations is negatively affected by very dense ground cover of blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) in forests in Hungary. Blackberry is particularly harmful with sessile oak (Quercus petraea). A trial was established to investigate the effect of 27 different herbicides to control Rubus fruticosus in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary, in 2002-2003. Triclopyr, hexazinone and fluroxypyr appeared to be the most effective herbicides for controlling Rubus fruticosus.
